About the John R. Weir Group

John R. Weir Ltd is a family owned company who specialise in the sale and servicing of Mercedes-Benz, Smart, Kia, Subaru, Isuzu and Chrysler cars (including Dodge and Jeep).

The first John R. Weir showroom opened its doors to customers in October 1992. The purpose-built facility in Grangemouth was John R Weir’s first Mercedes-Benz franchise. Since then John R. Weir have built an enviable reputation and undertaken successful expansion to include several prestige manufacturers within our portfolio.

In 2002 we were pleased to be awarded the Smart franchise. The Chrysler and Jeep brands were added to our range of franchises at Perth and Inverness in June 2003 and in 2006 we expanded our offering once again to include the Subaru and Isuzu brands at our Perth site.

We moved our Aberdeen Mercedes-Benz and Smart dealers into a brand new state of the art dealership facility just off Wellington Road in 2008. This move has allowed us to display a much larger selection of Mercedes-Benz stock. We now operate five Mercedes-Benz passenger sites and are proud to offer the largest number of used Mercedes-Benz cars in Scotland. Finally we added Kia to our portfolio in 2010.

Aberdeen is also home to our dedicated Commercial Vehicle Centre with sales and commercial aftersales, we also have a commercial vehicle workshop in Dundee.

Today the business is still overseen personally by John Weir, and we employ over 450 staff across the group.  All at John R. Weir share a common goal to ensure all customers receive superlative customer service, so that individual needs are not merely met but exceeded. This core value of outstanding customer care is one of the fundamental reasons for the success of the group.
